Muscle testing, a method designed to tap into the subconscious mind, serves as a noninvasive tool to identify root causes and insights into physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Practiced by many energy healers, including myself in my private practice, it aims to identify potential underlying causes of ailments, ranging from nutritional deficiencies to trapped emotions, toxins, imbalanced body systems, and more. Muscle testing can not only pinpoint the reason the body is not functioning optimally, but it can also help identify what the body needs to be healthy and thrive. Many seek out help to identify which herbs or supplements their body wants.
Muscle testing can be used to choose foods, clothing, exercise, and more. Because we are working with the subconscious, we can not identify or predict the future with muscle testing. We can use it, though, to identify what is held on to the past and what the body needs in the present.
This ancient technique, rooted in the origins of holistic healing, harnesses the principles of biomagnetic energy. While our conscious mind may remain unaware of these energies, the subconscious mind is believed to be profoundly influenced by them. The intricate relationship between the subconscious mind and energy forms the foundation of muscle testing.
Using the dynamic of positive and negative energy, muscle testing involves posing "true/false" questions and observing the body's responses. One common method is the Arm Test, where a subject extends their arm parallel to the floor, and the tester applies slight pressure on the wrist while asking questions. A resisting arm indicates a "strong response" or a "yes" answer, while yielding under pressure signifies a "weak response" or a "no" answer.
Another technique is the sway test. Swaying forward for yes and swaying backward for no is a easy way to begin to learn to muscle test.
The art of muscle testing opens avenues for holistic practitioners to explore the intricacies of the mind-body connection. In my holistic health coaching program, I guide individuals in mastering this technique, providing a comprehensive understanding of its principles and applications.
